Time tracking agent

Fill your timesheet, run timers, and get team reports by asking in plain language.

Fill your timesheet with an AI time tracking assistant

Time tracking agent is a TimeCamp add-on that gives you an AI time tracking assistant: you type a request in plain language, and it reads or updates your TimeCamp data. It is for people who track time and team leads who need quick answers about hours. Ask it to fill your timesheet or summarize last week.

Why teams use Time tracking agent

  • Timesheets by conversation. Describe your day, and the agent finds your tasks and creates the entries.
  • Answers, not filters. Ask how many hours your team logged on a project last month, and get a grouped report.
  • You stay in control. Deletes and task edits wait for your Approve click.
  • It remembers how you work. The agent can save your task names, working hours, and habits for later chats.

What you can do

  • Review time entries for up to 31 days at a time, for you or your teammates.
  • Create and edit entries with a task and a note, and start or stop your timer. Delete an entry after you approve.
  • Build timesheet reports grouped by the fields you choose, with pivot columns, filters, tags, and custom fields.
  • Create projects, tasks, and tags. Rename or move a task, or change who is on it, after you approve.
  • See app and website activity as totals or a one-day timeline.
  • Paste a screenshot, such as your calendar, and ask the agent to log it.
  • Save skills: reusable instructions for you or your whole organization.

How it works

  1. Open Time tracking agent inside TimeCamp, with no separate sign-in.
  2. Type a request, or pick a starter prompt such as "Fill my timesheet".
  3. Open any step in the chat to see its parameters and result.
  4. When an action needs approval, click Approve or Deny.
  5. Type /new or /reset to start a fresh chat. Your memories and skills stay.

Good to know

  • Time tracking agent is experimental and can make mistakes. Review its changes: new and edited entries, tasks, and tags are saved without approval.
  • The agent sees and changes only what your TimeCamp permissions allow. It does not add tags to time entries.
  • Anyone in your organization can edit or delete an organization-wide skill.
  • Your messages, images, and the data the agent reads go to an external AI model, by default Claude Sonnet 4.6 through OpenRouter. The add-on stores your chat history, memories, skills, and basic usage logs.
  • Time tracking agent is free. You request access from TimeCamp.
