Understand your team's time with Summary and People reports
Reports: Summary & People helps you understand where your team's tracked time goes and compare time entries with computer activity. Use Summary for charts, grouped totals and task custom field filters, then switch to People for a monthly view of the selected year. Request the add-on from this page, then open it in TimeCamp.
Explore your tracked time in Summary
- Choose a date range and filter by people or groups.
- Group time by project, task, person, group, month, week or date. Add a second grouping to expand a total into more detail, including time entry descriptions.
- Review total tracked time, a stacked time chart and a distribution chart. The time chart uses daily bars for shorter ranges and weekly bars for ranges longer than three months.
- Sort grouped rows by name or duration and resize columns to fit your report.
Filter by task custom fields
Use Filters to focus on tasks with selected custom field values, such as a customer or department. A task matches any selected value within one field; when you filter several fields, it must match all of them.
Filters use the task's current custom field values, including for historical time entries. Values are not inherited by subtasks: set the relevant value on every task you want to include.
Compare time entries and computer activity in People
Select a year to see a monthly table for the people you can access in TimeCamp. Each cell shows time-entry hours and computer activity hours, together with their share of expected time. Filter by people or groups, compare yearly totals and choose which type of hours appears first.
Expected time assumes eight hours per Monday-to-Friday weekday. It does not deduct holidays, leave or employment dates, so use the percentages as a reference rather than a payroll or attendance calculation. The current year shows months up to the current month.
How to get started

Good to know
- A Summary date range can cover up to 366 days.
- The grouped table shows up to 100 main groups with the most tracked time. The report indicates when more groups exist.
- Charts highlight the five largest groups and combine the rest into Other.
- The People comparison depends on the computer activity available in TimeCamp; computer activity and time entries are separate measures.
- The interface is available in English and Polish.
Frequently asked questions
Can I break a project total down by person?
Yes. Group Summary by Project, choose User as the second grouping and expand a project row to see the people behind its total.
Can I filter historical time by a task custom field?
Yes. Filters use the task's current values for the selected time range. A value set on a parent task does not automatically include its subtasks.
Can I save the report as a PDF?
Yes. Export PDF opens the browser's print dialog for the Summary view. Choose your browser's option to save as PDF.
Does the People view account for leave and public holidays?
No. Expected time uses eight hours per weekday and does not adjust for holidays, leave or employment dates.
